A Garden Welcome
I recently spent some time in a garden where I sketched flowers with ink. Keeping my gestures loose and playful, I spontaneously drew fragments of organic shapes. A pleasing sense of upward motion developed on the page.
The subject of my painting became pure emotion. I felt joyful. Warm red, yellow, and orange watercolors infuse the image with aliveness. The free-flowing lines invite you to look closer.
