The Sky Seen From the Moon

The Sky Seen From the Moon by Marlene Sinicki

I created this painting as an interpretation of the song The Sky Seen From the Moon by Ezio Bosso.

The color turquoise represents calmness and balance and that is what I feel as I listen to the music.

Aerial views of a breathing earth and man-made geographies came to mind. Bosso’s fingering of the vibrating strings sounds like a caress.

I experienced the spaces between notes like packages of heat and bursts of city light. The image transformed from a landscape to a musical score as the melody continued to ascend and repeat.
